Dr. Hana Alkhaldi grew up in Oxford,NC and completed her undergraduate degree in International Studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. She stayed in the Durham area after university and worked in business before deciding to pursue medical school. She attended medical school at the University of Sint Eustatius in the Netherland Antilles. Her Family Medicine Residency training took Dr. Alkhaldi to the Midwest and then she returned home to North Carolina to be closer to her family.
Hana enjoys all aspects of family medicine practice and in addition to general primary care, her special interests are in preventative medicine, obesity management, diabetes management, psychiatric medicine, and patient education. She believes that the doctor-patient relationship is the most important aspect in a successful treatment plan and feels that her patients are crucial to the decision making process.
In her free time, Hana loves to travel and learn about different cultures through gatherings, food, music, and movies. She also enjoys time with her family.
