Kate Kulenic is excited to join the team at Southwest Durham Family Medicine. She is a recent graduate of UNC- Chapel Hill’s Family Nurse Practitioner program. Her nursing career includes six years of emergency/trauma nursing at Mission Hospital in Asheville and WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh. Kate is thrilled to enter the world of primary care and is excited to be working with families and patients of all ages to promote healthy living.
Kate is a native of Northern Virginia, but has made North Carolina her home since coming down to play women’s lacrosse at UNC in 1997. Kate and her husband currently live in Durham while making sure to spread their Tarheel pride in the Bull City. They are in love with their newest roles as parents to a wonderful baby girl, whom they welcomed to the family this past Mother’s Day.
