Dr. O’Rourke hails from the great state of Texas and although she misses the Tex- Mex food and Texas barbeque, she has settled in North Carolina. After graduating from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, she completed her residency in Family Medicine in Asheville and Greensboro, North Carolina.

Dr. O’Rourke has been in practice in the Triangle for seven years, with experience in a variety of venues. She enjoys working with children, preventive care and patient education, though her practice encompasses a broad range of medical problems. She joined Southwest Durham Family Medicine in 2007.

During her free time, Dr. O’Rourke enjoys horseback riding, gardening, and spending time with her family.
